“The collection is about women empowerment,” says Dlamini. Describing her collection as a labour of love, third year LISOF design student, Taku Dlamini, showcased her first ever collection “Woman Is A Word”, and the crowd was enthralled! I sat down with (Fine Art) student and business owner, Euphracia Montwedi, to chat about her love for beauty, and find out how she manages school, work, and a social life all while making a difference in people's lives through art.
I am firm believer in starting at the beginning; the “Hi, how are you? My name is…” conversation. I have always found it weird when introducing myself and someone says the “know” me (thank you, social media), or hopping right into the swing of things before I could catch a name or some sort of information about the human I am talking to. Despite being one to start at the beginning, I am not good at introductions. What do I say? How much info do I disclose? What is relevant? What is irrelevant? More than anything, introductions actually make me nervous.
I hope you know where this heading; this opposite direction of all that. For those who are not already familiar with me (and my face), this first post serves the purpose of acquainting us. I have been extremely weary about starting a blog, but your girl sucked it up and is about to make things happen. All I plan to do here is explore what little bits of creativity I have and, most importantly, have fun with it. I hope you’ll be back to find out what I have planned for this little side project of mine. Endless love, Reneilwe Instagram | Twitter | Tumblr | Pinterest | SoundCloud | Facebook | Lookbook |
